Hey, I’m Gijs — an outdoor gear reviewer from The Netherlands. I put tents, backpacks, boots, bikes, and other equipment to the test in real outdoor conditions. Honest, experience-based testing has always been my foundation, both here on YouTube and on my website, outdoorguru.com. I don't do paid reviews or sponsored opinions. My goal? To find out what really works and what’s best for your next adventure.

I’m happily married, dad of two daughters, and have always been passionate about the outdoors. I love testing gear at home and in the Alps, but the deep forests and windswept plains of Sweden are where I feel at home. I started this channel to share those experiences and help you make informed decisions. In addition to gear reviews, I create tutorials and how-to videos.
